Campaigns

It is important for people to have an idea of the kinds of activities they could get involved in once we are up and running as a functioning pressure group. We have therefore created this page to showcase some ideas for possible future campaigns and activities. Please contact us if you have any suggestions.

Labour Party: This campaign would be for Labour Party members who want to organise inside their party around the issues of classism and rigged economics as a human rights issue.

Trade Unions: Likewise, this campaign would be for Trade Union members who want to organise inside their union around the issues of classism and rigged economics as a human rights issue.

Documentary on Classism: This campaign would involve making and promoting a documentary on classism.

Public Talks: This campaign would involve organising public talks on classism as a form of legal discrimination which could involve generating some quality presentations and training in delivery.

Legal Efforts: This campaign would explore the possibility of raising a legal challenge against classism.

EHRC Petition: This campaign would focus on putting together and promoting a petition targeted at the Equality and Human Rights Commission calling on them to hold a public debate on classism as an unrecognised form of social discrimination within existing statutory legislation.

Research Unit: The establishment of a team of researchers who focus on classism as a specific form of social discrimination (as defined in our Glossary) who publish and present their finding to our members, the media and the general public on a regular basis.
